Hello!
Hey, y’all!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m Jessica, the weird gal who has been thrifting, diggin’ through dead relatives’ closets, and hitting garage and estate sales since college for anything and everything old or vintage.
I’ve almost always found the most amazing items for others, even more often than stuff for myself, be it bandmates, friends, my husband or little brother. In 2023 I decided why not just try to find more great vintage stuff for more great people, and this little business got started.
Born and raised a WTexan, who probably belongs more in the mountains of Appalachia, and has also lived at almost 9,000 ft on the Western Slope of Colorado, I got to travel all points in between playing and singing the music I love called bluegrass. After touring for several years, I went to cosmetology school and have had a career as a hairstylist for the last 8 years.
I love finding a vintage piece and imaging someone I know who also might love it, or how they will uniquely style and rock it. My personal style incorporates current and modern pieces mixed with whatever vintage elements and influence might strike me at the time. This means you will find a bit of everything in my collections-super eccentric, quirky and flashy to everyday workwear staples that aren’t made quite the same today. I hunt for ALL sizes and hopefully something for everyone.
I’m also bringing you some handmade jewelry incorporating natural elements and repurposed items, another passion I have dabbled in for years. Be on the lookout for new fine silver and sterling pieces coming soon as I expand my collection
Oh, yeah! The name CRYPTOMNESIA-
My other fondness in life besides musty clothes, creating and twangy music is the wild world of High Strangeness and all the unknown mysteries of this Universe and beyond. I ran across the term CRYPTOMNESIA meaning “you’ve seen this all before, you just don’t remember it” more or less. When I understood the meaning it seemed like the perfect name for this endeavor.
I now make my home in Lubbock, TX with my super supportive, banjo-pickin’ hillbilly husband Will, where we have the privilege to help care for my sweet elderly father.
Can’t wait to meet everyone out and about and down the road a mile or two!
Here’s to hoping you’ll have CRYPTOMNESIA, too!
Jessica
